Privacy policy

Who we are

The controller of your personal data is AKRO-in. d.o.o., Slovenia. Contact us about privacy at support@akro-in.si. Our general terms are at akro-in.si/terms.

What we collect

• An anonymous account. The app signs you in anonymously with Firebase Authentication. We don't ask for your name, email, phone number or password.
• Your photos and designs. The room, house or garden photos you choose from your camera or photo library, and the designs the app generates from them.
• Design history. For each design: the style and room type you picked, timestamps and references to the stored files.
• Purchases. Your subscription and credit status and purchase history, provided by the App Store or Google Play through RevenueCat under an anonymous app user ID. We never receive your payment card details.
• Usage data. App events such as screens opened, designs requested and purchases, with device model, operating system, app version, approximate country and the design variant you were shown (Google Analytics for Firebase).
• App integrity and settings. Device attestation from Firebase App Check (Apple App Attest and DeviceCheck, Google Play Integrity) to confirm requests come from the genuine app, and Firebase Remote Config to deliver app settings.
• Technical data. IP address and request logs when the app talks to our servers, downloads app updates or when you visit this website.
• Support messages. If you email support, we receive your email address, your message, and the account ID, app version and platform the app adds to the email.

Your photos and AI

Your photos are only sent for AI processing after you agree to it in the app's AI consent screen. When you create a design, your photo and chosen options are sent to OpenAI (image analysis and prompt writing) and fal.ai (image generation). They process the data on our behalf only to return your result.

Your photos and generated designs are stored in Google Firebase Storage (Google Cloud), private to your account and only shown to you through short-lived signed links. Your design history is stored in Cloud Firestore. Earlier versions of the app stored images with Cloudinary; new images are no longer sent there.

Ad measurement (Android only)

On Android, the app uses Meta (Facebook) App Events to measure our ads: the Meta SDK records app installs and launches, and the app reports trial starts, subscriptions and purchases (amount and currency), together with device information and the Android advertising ID. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings.

On iPhone and iPad the app does not use the Meta SDK, does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Why we use it

• To provide the app (contract): your account, creating and storing your designs, design history, purchases and credits, app updates and support.
• AI processing of your photos (consent): sending your photo to our AI providers. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account; it doesn't affect processing done before.
• To improve and protect the service (legitimate interests): usage analytics, testing different designs, app integrity checks and preventing abuse.
• To measure our advertising (legitimate interests): Meta App Events on Android, as described above. You can object at any time.
• Legal obligations: keeping purchase and accounting records.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use your photos to train AI models.

Who processes it

• Google (Firebase): authentication, Storage, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics, App Check and Remote Config.
• OpenAI and fal.ai: AI image analysis and generation.
• RevenueCat, Apple and Google: purchases and subscriptions.
• Meta: advertising measurement on Android.
• Cloudflare: hosts this website and delivers over-the-air app updates (app.aura.akro-in.si).

They process data on our behalf under their own data processing terms. Apple and Google also act under their own privacy policies for store purchases.

How long we keep it

• Photos and generated designs are deleted automatically 90 days after they are created.
• When you delete your account in Settings → Delete Account, we immediately delete your stored files, your Firestore data and your anonymous account. See how to delete your account.
• Purchase records may be kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Support emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request.

International transfers

Some of our providers, including OpenAI and fal.ai, are based in the United States or process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent. You can delete everything yourself in the app (Settings → Delete Account), or write to support@akro-in.si (the app's support email includes your account ID so we can find your data). See how to delete your account and data, including without the app. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec, ip-rs.si).

Children

AurAI is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we'll delete the data.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, files are private to your account and served only through short-lived signed links, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

We'll update this page when our practices change and show the new effective date above.
